The Salut! Sunderland Podcast live: our scholars ponder Saints clash

After last week’s lapse with the podcast, not posted here until after the Fulham game, the lads have made no mistake this time. M Salut has just listened to it and it’s cracking stuff with the panel talking in front of, and to, a live audience. See the link below …

Gareth Barker writes: This week’s podcast is slightly different. Last night we recorded the much talked about (by Stephen and I) live podcast at the Isis, Sunderland. It was nice to see it come to fruition, after talking about producing it in the very same pub six months ago.

We didn’t really know how it was going to go, but fortunately it seemed to go off without any hitches and a good time was had by all.

It was a great opportunity to bring together fans, journalists, bloggers etc to talk Sunderland. The response was pretty good, so maybe there’ll be another one in the near future.

We were joined by the Northern Echo‘s Richard Mason, the Sunderland Echo‘s Graeme Anderson and the former Sunderland forward Martin Smith. We gained fan opinion on the upcoming game against Southampton, the Fulham defeat and many other SAFC topics.

The very generous folk attending also contributed a decent wedge of cash towards Richard’s charity efforts. The exact figure isn’t yet know, but it’s definitely a three figure effort.

There may be a few pops and squeals in the wrong place, but it was live after all. We’re sure you’ll get the idea!
