Burnley and Liverpool Guess the Scores. Prizes at the treble

Liverpool’s ultimately easy 4-1 win
against Stoke City confirms what we already knew – that Monday’s game against Jurgen Klopp’s side will be tough. Even if Simon Mignolet keeps his place and makes more errors than usual, they have bags of goals in them.

That makes Saturday’s game all the more important. The good work of the past eight games, producing 12 points and giving Sunderland a fighting chance of getting out of trouble, would be undermined if we came a cropper at Turf Moor unless we then rose to the occasion at the Stadium of Light two days later.

This is where you enter the Guess the Score competition for both games. Monsieur Salut is sufficiently confident of receiving some modest new advertising to feel able to offer prizes in each case.

Supporters of all three teams are eligible to enter. Be first with one prediction and you win one mug; be first to get both scorelines right and you will receive not two but three.

Predictions must be posted here before kickoff in each case and you must have a UK delivery address. You can wait until after the Burnley match, if you wish, before having a go at Monday’s score.

As the photo gallery implies, Burnley and Liverpool fans qualify for mugs, too, and the same treble prize incentive applies should such a winner offer predictions for both Sunderland games.
M Salut’s decision shall be final.

  1. I am getting so close now……….. more than 50% correct v Man Utd………. that it would be crazy to abandon my strategy now.
Burnley are a force to be reckoned with at their place so it’s 3-3
Liverpool are on fire but we have our super striker Defoe AND our super fans so it’s 3-3 again.
