Sunderland v Watford Guess the Score: last prize edition of 2016

Successive defeats have dumped Sunderland straight back at the bottom after all the promise of our mini-revival.

Most of us get fed up with being told this or that match is “must win”. We could beat Watford handsomely and then embark on a long losing streak sending us down by February or March.

Equally, we could lose and then shock football by taking point off not only Burnley but Manchester United and Liverpool, too.

So let us just say it would be very nice to beat Watford and nicer still if we could do so and then maintain some kind of consistent winning form.

This is the last prize Guess the Score to be sponsored in the current series by the good people at Art of Football. You have until Tuesday to go to their site and buy something in the hope, subject to any impact of the threatened postal strike, of receiving delivery by Christmas.

The Sunderland prints, one which our winner can choose, have already attracted sufficient interest to maker it possible that a new set of prize Guess the Scores can resume in about February. In the meantime, there may be the odd mug out of Monsieur Salut’s coffers but you should expect some weeks to just for fun.

So have a go. Don’t forget anyone can enter but only the first correct scoreline prediction qualifies for a prize.

If one of the Salut! Sunderland editors other than M Salut wins, he will be perfectly entitled to claim the Art of Football print. The winner can be a Watford supporter or even a neutral and would be able to choose a more suitable print. But the prize must go to  a UK delivery address.

Ha’way the Lads.
