Gillingham vs Sunderland prize Guess the Score: can the Lads keep it going?

Guess the score. There is a prize. You judge if it’s a great one.

Time once again to guess the score.

Fourth top and unbeaten in League One, albeit after just three games, Sunderland head south to Gillingham on Wednesday and are assured of a big travelling support.

Our Gillingham “Who are You?” volunteer, James Morgan, likes SAFC, has marvelled at our support when attending away games with Sunderland-following pals from university days and rekcons we could “do a Blackburn” and go up in second place. We’ll see.

Jack Ross has made a fine start and pulled together a useful-looking side on a budget that’s generous by League One standards but hardly a fortune. It’s on midweek nights far from home that some of the toughest tests may come.

Have a stab at the scoreline. If you are first to be right, you’ll qualify for a prize whoever you support. An SAFC-supporting winner would receive the traditional dressing room mug, choosing all five names that appear on it …and if you support the Gills the design will reflect your allegiance.

You must have a UK delivery address to receive your prize if you should win. Have a go and Ha’way the Lads …

  1. 0-2 is taken so I’ll go with the 3-2 win that so nearly got me a mug against Sheffield Wed. (Sheffield Wed did their part but the last 10 minutes disappointed. I was so close)

So 2-3 it is, with Gooch Maja and Catts scoring and the Gills getting one in each half, the second being a penalty
