Hull City vs Sunderland Guess the Score: Things Can Only Get Better

You could be the next No 12. A United winner would get a mug suited to his or her tastes
You could be the next No 12. A United winner would get a mug suited to his or her tastes

Well the headline gives you the hope. The reality comes at the KC when Gus Poyet once again tries to a) send out a team that can defend and score and b) avoids defeat against Hull City.

It is difficult to be optimistic after recent gormless displays but we have to keep the faith. Hull win more games than us but also lose more. We have players who should be bursting to prove themselves, a manager who ought to be raring to go for victory not just another goalless draw.

The rollover Guess the Score for Old Trafford was won by Malcolm Ray and I shall be in touch with him about his prize, a pair of mugs from our competition sponsors Personalised Football Gifts.

Have a go for the Hull match. Please remember the usual rules: you won’t win with the correct scoreline if someone has already gone for it. Be first, be right, be before kickoff and you’ll win a mug of your own.

If you choose the design shown above, your name can appear as number 12. A Hull City winner – yes, Tigers, you are welcome to join in – would receive a mug with a design more appropriate to this other allegiance.

Steve-Bruce--150x150
Salut! Sunderland: Steve Bruce got us a 10th top finish but was upset by the manner of, and what he saw reasons for, his departure and it’s fair to say there’s now little love lost either way. What’s your assessment of his work at Hull?

Brad Rial, City fan:

Steve Bruce can do little wrong in the eyes of City fans. Quite simply, he’s the most successful manager in the club’s history. No other man has won automatic promotion to the top flight as manager of City, no other man has taken City to an FA Cup final and his 16th place finish last season is the highest in the club’s history. He’s been brilliant from the moment he came in.

  1. Ban the Smog breather! He’s done this to me two weeks running.

If I can’t go for the obvious 0-0, then I’l go for a SAFC 1 Hull 3, and if I get it right you can send the mug to Smoggie. Despite his constant crowing it’s the only cup he’ll see for the foreseeable.

    • My contact at the sponsOrs is a Mag but the owner supports SAFC. I’m sure they do a Boro mug of some description too!

  2. Sunderland to win 1-0.
Can’t see a lot of goals and the optimist in me sees a win, despite only four in 27 matches……

  3. The reverse stuff only worked for me so it’s gotta be Hull 0 Sunderland 2 – it’s about time we got something from them
