Nottingham Forest vs SAFC Guess the Score: redemption or repeat?

How likely is a comeback from the rotten Boxing Day display?

Let’s not waste too many words. Chris Coleman said his players allowed themselves to be intimidated by Sheffield United. Maybe; we were second best all over the pitch and the game was already beyond us when Asoro and Maja came on.

When it needed strength, we had none. When we ran, it was far too slowly and soon stopped. When a clever pass was needed, it didn’t come. When the ball was kicked or headed out of defence, it went to a United player. Whenever they attacked, they posed a threat. Vaughan, a solitary and powerless figure up front, offered effort but no serious hope of scoring and was starved of meaningful service in any case. Have we seen the last of Grabban? Is there anything Coleman can do in the transfer window?

I fear another defeat at the City Ground but who knows? Maybe we will eventually start competing even at this lowly level.

This could be yours …

Guess the Score. There’ll be a prize, Tales From the Red and Whites Vol II or a mug or something else I think of (especially if you already have the book) and a suitable alternative should a Forest fan win. I ask for a UK delivery address and my decision is final.

  1. Desperate for January reinforcements, if we can afford any and can get rid of the high earning wasters currently at the Club.

Forest 2 – Sunderland 3, more in hope than expectation!

  2. If we are to stave off the relegation threat, we MUST start picking up some wins. Forest 1 SAFC 3 – More in hope than expectation.

  3. Hey ho here we go again the eternal optimist says bring in the new blood give the kids a chance they want to play and give the impression that they will die for the cause full of running and commitment if nothing else would rather take a defeat with them wearing their heart on their sleeves than watching the abortion of boxing day my nephew gives his all for shef wed every game although he is a mag through and through and he did the same for the boro would be a good signing for us now that carvello gone but we couldn’t afford him , we have similar qualities in a lot of our youngsters as Adam Reach if they are good enough they are old enough
Go for my usual it WILL HAPPEN sometime this season 4-0 to the lads consistency makes it happen

  4. I am getting one half of my preferred 4-3 win correct quite often, as on Boxing Day, although I am not sure I would have chosen it if I had known Grabban wasn’t playing! Anyway, I will keep believing, 4-3 to us.
