One-word SAFC ratings: decent draw at Stoke ‘too little, too late’?

DesignElements_Background-H1

For Rob Hutchison, our master of the one-word assessments, the 1-1 draw at Stoke City was ‘much improved’. Our problem lies in the next three words: ‘improvement on what?’

Rob writes: much improved, could have won, just maybe too little, too late.

Pants 7 strong

van Aanholt 6 pacy

O’Shea 7
warrior

Coates 7 improved

Jones 7 grafter

Catts 8 everywhere

Buckley 6 mixed

Rodwell 7 better

Gomez 7 steady

Defoe 6 patchy

Wickham 8 sharp

Sub

Graham 7 busy

  1. In most circumstances a point away at Stoke would be considered a good point to take.

In our current predicament it may be considered somewhat miraculous, but at the same time it may well prove to be too little and too late. Wickham gets 2 goals in a coupe of minutes playing time having found the net once this season prior to the Palace game.Is this deja vu?

Win at all costs next game or that’s it.
