Podcast! Newcastle beaten, but can we do the Geordie double over Bruce’s Hull?

It was never in doubt, was it? Even when the team was announced and I sent lots of text messages to friends expressing my dismay and expecting a heavy defeat, it really was never in doubt, was it? It was nice to gather for a podcast on the back of a win and even sweeter given the opposition. We’re a bit early with the podcast this week and you could still get a sense of the post match buzz in the studio. But as well as dwell on the game just gone, we know how important our impending face off with Steve Bruce is. We also all know that even though Bruce’s face is a tough prospect to scale, it isn’t insurmountable.

We were joined in the studio by BBC Radio Newcastle’s Sunderland commentator, Nick Barnes. Yet again, Craig Clark supplied a voice from Roker Report. Everyone’s voice was a touch ‘horse’ for some reason, but we don’t think it detracts from the subject matter.

We preview the Hull game with Phil Buckingham of The Hull Daily Mail too.

So join us for some minor gloating and Steve Bruce based chat. There’s also question of the week to look forward to, or not.

  1. I’m convinced we will get something from this game. At least a draw. What are the odds on Altidore breaking his duck against his former club?

    2-1 to the lads. H’way, h’way, h’way!!!
