Connor Armstrong, a Southampton-supporting football writer with County Durham connections including a Sunderland-supporting uncle, was – like many of us lot – at the 8-0 debacle just over a year ago. He remembers a “crazy” game with Sunderland being the better team until the goals started going in and our players effectively gave up.
