Sixer’s Middlesbrough sevens: My cup run has fallen over

Jake: ‘it’s not always pretty’

John McCormick writes: As always, we packed out the away end. As almost always,  the team conceded early. From then it was the same old story and now our cup run (such as it was) is over.

Pete Sixsmith’s instant seven word text gives us the bones right now; tomorrow his report will tell us just how much Chris Coleman needs a salvation army to arrive in the next 25 days.

  1. It’s a New Year…..but unfortunately the same old Sunderland.

Fair enough, the team was basically the ‘B’ side (do we have an ‘A’ Team?), but Boro were not exactly at full strength either.

    Must happens for 2018

    1. Steele should never be allowed to wear the shirt again.
    2. Short, Bain, et al need to go.
    3. Regardless of 2, Short needs to spend in January to have anything left to sell.
    4. Failure to comply with all/any of the above = League 1

We are at the abyss staring down and its looking back with a hungary smile on its face!!!!!

    • If Short doesn’t get this right our club might not even exist in its current form in a few years time . It’s never been this bad before ,because there wasn’t the huge debts involved in the Mackemenemy era . Short moving to the States and leaving a caretaker owner in charge called Bain who has zero money to spend, worries me even more .
