John McCormick writes: Another clean sheet, another game with more than one goal. Only Charlton’s last minute winner did anything to mar what was a good day all round. Pete Sixsmith texted at half time that to say that this game was a bit scrappy but his post-game seven worder suggests his full match report will be a bit more optimistic:

“But hey you lot suit those blinkers”….. And thus Brian reveals himself to be not one of “us”. Hence I will follow Neil in ignoring his comments.
We still have a Hippo and giraffe in the hallway. Ross has just been lucky in managing to sign the correct players and then blend them in to a functionin fooball team.
Our new owners have just been increaduibly lucky to land a Club like Sunderland as these types of opportunity don’t come around every day or year.
And I just don’t believe how lucky the owners, manager and players are and how totally unlucky every other team in the Division is, referees included, lines men and the fourth official.
Completely unjustified, unsubstantiated rant over……for now!!!
And another thing, despite what the score or standard of play I will be back next week spitting more bile and vitriol for anyone daft enough to read it.
One of the realities that Brian appears not to understand is that there are two teams on the pitch. The opposition also want to win, and NO team is a push over.
No one thinks we are the best team in the division, and of course a team so hastily assembled has some weaknesses.
However, we have only lost two league games all season. We are in a position where automatic promotion is a possibility, and the play offs look probable.
Given the above, Jack Ross must be doing SOMETHING right?
My glass is half full…you seem to have had your glass taken off you by a bigger boy….still at least you have a plentiful supply of bile…..one of our last great natural resources. Brian, i can’t even be bothered to take the piss out of you. This is the last time i respond to you in any form….as the ad says…it’s because you’re not worth it
Brian is a fraud. As I have already pointed out the majority of his comments are verging on the illiterate, though he always managed to spell sycophant and other phonetically difficult words correctly, whilst managing to cock up simple stuff, which led me to believe that he was actually someone who is pretending to be less educated than he is. You’ll notice some others, like today’s, are actually quite well written and even if the views are still negative, contain some reasonable points hidden in there.
When M Salut contacted the owner of the e-mail address that Brian uses to post his comments, he denied being the author so either a) he does not wish to be associated with those views or b) Brian has hi-jacked someone else’s e-mail address. In either case it calls into question the veracity of his opinions.
Whilst not agreeing with the bulk of today’s contribution it does actually make sense and contains some logically based criticism – rather than just a procession of insults aimed at individuals and the club in general.
As for wearing blinkers – they have the advantage of allowing you to see what’s in front of you and allows you a better view than simply walking round with your eyes shut.
I have come across ‘Brians’ negative philosophy on other footie web pages so whoever is the poster seems to spend a lot of time and effort in pedaling this rhetoric.
Like Neil, I don’t bother reading or responding to his comments, hopefully he will go away.
Still have an elephant or 2 in the room.
Goals again courtesy of set pieces.
The most expensively assembled strikeforce in pub league history again fail to hit target ( from open play ) and worse manage to miss 3 gilt edged opportunities.
First goal against run of play and second a goal scored by a player far too good for this league..
A first half straight from the pulis book of hoofball which is at odds with the erroneously held view of what people have been lulled into believing in’ rossball’.
I realise a win is what matters but papering over of cracks and continued lauding of the false prophet who manages us remains a folly.
Wyke continues to demonstrate what a waste of a shirt he is. He is barely fit for purpose in the pub league yet ross continues with giving him game time.
We still dont know what our best cb partnership is and our defence remains susceptible and shaky.
But hey you lot suit those blinkers
