Sixer’s Sevens: SAFC 0 Chelsea 0. Terrific display Lads

Jake gives Sixer star billing

Pete Sixsmith said at half time that Sunderland were giving Chelsea a tough old game and he was right. And when he cried for more, he got it. This was a superb point and could have been three with a spot more luck, from a game in which SAFC were never truly second best. Sixer offers two seven-word verdicts; his fuller assessment should be a rousing read …

  1. He’s really no more than a little horse Mike.

There’s a lot to admire in his achievements but little to respect in his actions and remarks.

  2. What a disingenuous person Mourinho is. What was to stop him saying that for once he came up against a team willing to work hard for the full 90 minutes and show the rest of the Premier League that Chelsea are not the ‘wonder team’ the pundits would have us believe!
Great manager? Sure. A little bit of respect would not go amiss though.

  3. Thoroughly deserved point and nice to see Catts play really well on telly. Maybe Roy Hodgson was actually watching us!
I wouldn’t like to single anyone out. Fantastic effort from everyone, but the defence were great. Reveillere could turn out to be the key signing of the season
