Having signed 14 players (some old, some new, some borrowed, some not at all blue), we can only wait for them to bed in.

So far, not great, but the arrival of two Italians, Borini and Dossena may help to give the team a better balance. Ki from Swansea should give us some creativity in midfield.

Giaccherini looks the best of the lot and Altidore could form a good partnership with Fletcher. The jury is out on the likes of Diakite, Roberge and others – as it is on the head coach.

  1. It’s too early to tell how well or how badly we have done. It is very early days and a shaky start was inevitable with so many new faces. We might get better and we might not. We will definitely be able to answer the question better by Christmas.
