Roll up Mackems and Mags for the Sunderland-Newcastle Guess the Score

Well we all know Fletch won’t score three unless the Mags put out Gibraltar’s un-Rocklike defence.

But could he or Jermain Defoe or Connor Wickham or, indeed, Danny Graham or Duncan Watmore get the goal that wins the latest edition of the Wear-Tyne derby?

No Sunderland supporter truly cares where a winner might come from. Newcastle fans will think more or less likewise.

It is a rollover-plus for Sunday’s game. No one predicted a 1-0 defeat at West Ham, for which the prize would have been two outstanding mugs from our sponsors, Personalised Football Gifts. But we have twisted their arms again to make this week’s prize a bit different. It is a framed print of the dressing room image with, if I am right, your name or the name of your choice as No 12.

So whichever team you support, let’s be having your scoreline predictions. As you can see below, a Mag who gets it right – usual rules, must be the first with the correct score and it must be posted before kickoff – will receive a black and white version of the much more appealing Sunderland one.

There’ll be the usual build-up on the site as the week progresses. We all know what may rest of the outcome of Sunday’s game. Just get off to a winning home debut, Dick!

Ha’way the Lads, not Ho’way.

  1. 2-0 to us. I’m heading south for my first game of the season. Been to long since I have been at SOL but games have been so bad not been encouraged to a 3 day round journey.

  2. SAFC 2 – 2 Mags or something like it, there will only be one goal in it if one side is to win it me thinks.

  3. Everyone says that if we win we’ll be on the up and if we lose we are as good as down. I tend to agree with that view so sure as eggs are eggs it will be another bloody draw which will leave us hanging on and hanging on

    1-1

  4. 2 – 2. Philip on back of shirt please. Wonder who Smogbreather will donate to should he be correct?

  5. david miller beat me by a split second to 3-1, so will go 3-2 to the Lads and the climb up the table begins

  6. i’m tempted by the recent run of scoring three in these games but will plump for Cats 2 Mags 0
