Podcast! Could the cup win be the most ‘impactual’ moment of the season?

Jake isn't sure if impactual is a word, either.

We come into the final podcast of 2013 on the back of two relatively positive results. Well, we didn’t lose at the weekend, then we went and got ourselves into a cup semi final midweek. The draw against Manchester United is not so bad. We’ll take a good number of supporters to Old Trafford and if we can stay in the tie after the first leg, it could prove to be a special night.

So, the usual format went out of the window this week. We decided to keep it Sunderland heavy and preview the upcoming and massively important Christmas program. We were ably assisted in the studio by Chris Young from the Sunderland Echo. He was making his second podcast appearance. Maikng his debut was Damian Spellman, the Press Association’s North East football reporter.

We thought we’d push the boat out, being the last show of the year and all. So we were joined on the phone by Sky Sports’ Dave Jones. I’m sure many of you know him from his work on The Footballers Football Show, Sky Sports News and Saturday Night Football among other things. Did we mention he follows the lads, too?

Our friends over at Roker Report provided their now former editor, Simon Walsh, to further strengthen the ranks. Oh, and Goldy made up a word. Again.

So subscribe on iTunes or get it on Soundcloud. Have a good Christmas and New Year!
