And thanks heavens for that. I now have a lot of serious saving to do to fund the lorryloads of mugs owed to recent winners of Guess the Score.
I said there’d be a prize for each competition until our fate was determined and it seems churlish to revert to a for-fun-only basis for the last game, especially since it promises to be a great party.
The latest winners, Malcolm Ray and Dennis, will be hearing from me shortly. So will the others to whom I owe mugs. And any after that you will just have stump up for and buy.
Usual rules. Guess the score correctly, be the first to post it below – before kickoff – and you win. Monsieur Salut!s decision is final.
Swansea supporters and neutrals are very welcome to join in. A Swansea winner would receive a mug with a slightly modified design. Come to that, a Sunderland winner will also find his or her prize does not look precisely like this …
… since I intend to add topicality to the design.
The Swansea City “Who are you?” will appear here tomorrow morning. Writing before last night’s game, our old friend Jim White, a Swans Trust board member, predicted a 2-1 Sunderland win to secure our safety and also said he didn’t mind. That scoreline, though no longer necessary for survival, would suit me.

Gus will probably make changes, and it’s our settled side that’s done so well… I’m sorry to say I think we may lose … will go for 0-2. Hope I’m wrong and it’ll be a party whatever..
I predict 0-0. This will be the start of another bad run. Unfortunately for the rest of the League, this run coincides nicely with the close season. We made it just in time.
SAFC 4 Swansea 1, finish the season triumphant and set us up in style for the next one .
Goals galore with a 5-2 home win 🙂
1-2, we’re on the beach now. Ho hum.
SAFC 3 – 0 Swansea……Altidore to make amends for his miss against WBA (and costing me a mug), his twitter comment about a certain female and for being underwhelming all season.
Still think he has a role to play at SAFC he just needs to, as American’s say, ‘Get his sh#t together’.
I would suggest a tight game with Sunderland edging it 2 goals to 1.
So, I do not think Sunderland 2 – 1 Swansea is above. Forgive me if I am wrong.
I think Swansea are picking up, and will be playing for their new manager. But I think we will nick it 1-0 to SAFC.
Carnival atmosphere, carnival score: 3 – 2 with Fabio chipping in with 2 to mark his departure. This boy MUST be bought.
Sunderland 3 – 1 Swansea
sunderland 1 Swansea 3 sunderland will think the season over
Brian: you are a winner, I’m afraid. I will be in touch
Sunderland 2 – 0 Swansea
Sunderland 4 Swansea 2
