Here are Salut! Sunderland’s final words of encouragement to Dick Advocaat and the Lad ahead of this afternoon’s home game with Spurs.
One set of fans may, at different stages of the match and especially at the end unless it’s a draw, taunt the other one with ringing chants of “Down with the Chelsea, you’re going down with the Chelsea”.
Not that rival Londoners or upstarts in the North East would stoop to such meanness. We must all learn to love Jose Mourninho and pray that his underachieving team can begin to climb away from the bottom.
But please let it be Sunderland supporters who have to rise above the temptation to be unkind about Chelsea.
And a special greeting to Fabio Borini, whose welcome back to the North East from Pete Sixsmith reappeared here yesterday (https://safc.blog/2015/09/on-the-eve-of-borinis-how-sixer-welcomed-liverpools-golden-couple-to-the-north-east/#comments), prompting this tweet from Mrs Borini:
@salutsunderland so where is this sixers cafe?! Hahah thanks for making me laugh again! Moved into our new home today! ??

Give us a win today (oh, please!) and I’d be almost prepared to let the Mags take the points from West Ham tomorrow, just for the pleasure of seeing Chelsea in the bottom three.
