Rob Hutchison: one-word verdicts
Rob Hutchison: one-word verdicts

Rob Hutchison is quick off the mark with another of his occasional sets of one-word verdicts. ‘Failure to beat teams like this who were unable to put us away will eventually cost us,’ he warns after the disappointing 1-0 defeat at West Ham. ‘You could have kept the shirt off my back in return for a win.’ Not all his judgements will meet universal approval; PVA made one dreadful mistake but was otherwise OK, according to Monsieur Salut, and Defoe just did what all strikers do – fail to hit the target from every opportunity and, since he gets so few, what can we expect? …

  1. Sorry PVA is a liablity at full back for me,a simple kick into touch would have earned us a draw…he is not a defender end of.He makes these errors week in week out.
