SAFC v Manchester United Guess the Score: only four words matter

ManUtdH

OK, we usually offer a few random thoughts on the forthcoming game as we invite readers – whoever they support – to Guess the Score.

Cue a break with tradition.

For this week only, our illustrator Jake provides not only the image but the only four words that really concern Sunderland supporters. He repeats them many times, but there are still, essentially, just the four words.

We’re going to win…..We’re going to win…..We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win….We’re going to win…..We’re going to win………….. …….. ….. … .. .

Well, there you have Jake’s considered – hands up the boy at the back of the class who said “blinkered” – view. Please let him be right.

What do you reckon? Still no prizes, I’m afraid, so just for fun …

  1. Technically that is five words we’re being an abbreviation of we are.
More in hope than expectation I predict a 3-1 home win.

    • Salut! Sunderland’s “house style” (ie arbitrary preference) , Bill, is that two words abbreviated = one. Otherwise, I’d need to go back over years of Sixer’s Sevens and change half of them
