A gift from New Zealand makes Stoke City v SAFC a prize Guess the Score

Thanks, Jake
Thanks, Jake

We’ve had far too many must-wins and crunchers and season-deciders. They usually they turn out to be nothing of the sort.

So let us just say the Guess the Score for Stoke City v Sunderland is open to all, Stokies included, and carries a prize.

Unfortunately, the prize hasn’t changed. It is still the famous Salut! Sunderland mug …

The winner gets glory - and a prize
The winner gets glory – and a prize

Your name, or chosen name, will appear on the No 12 shirt. We’ll find an appropriate design if a Stoke fan happens to win – even if he/she predicts an unwelcome outcome.

There was a winner of the SAFC-WBA Guess the Score, Julian Smith. But Julian lives in NZ and has no UK address he’d want his mug sent to. Hence the carried-forward prize.

Usual rules: be first to post the correct scoreline, do so before kickoff and have a UK postal address.

Ha’way the Lads.

  1. The Stokees I work alongside generally think something is missing with their team but they can’t put their fingers on it, which is unusual given the shoplifting rates here in Hanley.

Joe Allen has made a good impression.

Pessimism abounds, I expect Stoke will “click” against us and I can already hear Mark Hughes’ post match comments that it was only a matter of time before they did. I may make a surprise visit to my mam in South Hylton to get away from this place.

So that’s 3 nil to the Lads.

  2. This is a real battle of the desperate, and I doubt that it will be pretty to watch. Stoke 0 SAFC 1……..I hope.
