Just a quick update ahead of our two games over the New Year period, away to Burnley tomorrow and at home to Liverpool 48 hours later.
It seemed sensible to bring together Guess the Score into one joint competition, though structured to allow for single entries too.
We received a spot of advertising this week. Most readers are astute enough to spot these, however much they may be edited to seem worthy of space on our pages, and also to accept the need for them if Salut! Sunderland is to keep head above water . But it also enabled Monsieur Salut to offer a prize mug for each game and three for anyone who wins with correct scorelines for each game.
I will disable comments for this post to ensure all entries go to the same place: if you haven’t done so already, go to https://safc.blog/2016/12/burnley-and-liverpool-guess-the-scores-prizes-at-the-treble/ and tell us how the game(s) will finish.
As usual, non-Sunderland supporters are warmly invited to take part and may rest assured they would be offered suitable mug designs if successful.
There are also Who are You? interviews for both games. Not every reader appreciated the cocky responses of our Manchester United interviewee but I imagine most if not all feel we returned to usual standards with terrific sets of replies from the Burnley volunteer Andy Robinson – take a look here – and Liverpool’s Tom Easby.
Andy returns next week ahead of the FA Cup 3rd Round game and we have some welcome guests lined up or approached for the three games to follow (Stoke, WBA and Spurs).
Ha’way the Lads.
