This arrived ‘in the post’ as an entry in Guess the Score for SAFC vs Manchester City and before today’s rather depressing run of scores elsewhere. The author, Tom Lynn, is not just another disgruntled fan – he’s part of the life and soul of the Sunderland fan base, a man you bump into home and away and former editor of The Wearside Roar. He went for SAFC 0-4 City and also described the ‘hype around Pickford’ as ridiculous, calling him a great shotstopper with no real command of his area. Monsieur Salut does not agree with every word but it’s written from the heart and deserves to be seen ..
Misery Moyes, who makes Howard Wilkinson look like one of the Chuckle Brothers, said in his press conference yesterday that Sunderland are where he expected them to be at this stage and that he had predicted a relegation battle earlier in the season.
Yes #miserymoyes you suggested we were s**** after the second game of the season v Boro at home. How admirable your foresight is.
Personally I’d like to see a bit of reverse psychology from you in the public arena.
Start by saying you feel proud to be at a historically famous club with a support as loyal and fanatical as anywhere in the world (still getting 40k plus despite division three, 19 and 15 point seasons, constant battles against relegation and selling any decent player we have) and that although we have injury problems, you believe in your players and staff and that we will fight all the way to do justice to the name of the club and its superb fan base.
Your largely pathetic signings, inconsistent team selections and hideously miserable personna in the public arena have undoubtedly contributed to our current position and inability to win football matches.
Once again after the Everton defeat last weekend you mentioned a “lack of quality” at least three times in a two-minute interview. How do you think your players feel hearing and reading this and similar negative crap on an almost weekly basis?
I know how I feel now by you. Utterly depressed and worried about our future. I want stability and want you to do well David, but to date you worry the hell out of me.
Grow up and show some defiance please.
Well he must have been reading this going by his post match interview.Apparently the players did a “really good job” against Man City and we “are nowhere near the top of the league just now”.
Now I’m all for positive thinking too but that statement must go up there as one of the most positive ones you will hear from a football manager this year,

I think what is most depressing this time around and contributes to the feeling of inevitable relegation is the knowledge that we surely can not change managers again – but if Moyes ever had it, he has now lost it. I am tired of him talking about his time at Everton and how badly he was treated at ManU. You are now at Sunderland, David – start earning your salary.
