Norwich vs SAFC prize Guess the Score: a repeat of 2016 would be nice

A banner Jake produced for 2016 game that we won 3-0

We’ve had a first winner in this season’s Guess the Score series and it’s yet another correct prediction from Paul Devine, a Sunderland supporter exiled in the Netherlands. He sensed we would draw 1-1 with Derby County and was right.

As I write, the Bury League Cup game is still to come. There may be another winner to announce from that tie (NB: the obvious update is that I am delighted we got through).

But now on to Carrow Road.

The SAFC dressing room mug

Sunderland have been brilliant and awful at Norwich in recent times, the stand-out game for us being the 3-0 win under Big Sam that made us believe in survival for – as it turned out – just one more Premier League season.

What will happen this time? Both of us in the Championship, both hoping to climb back to the top.

Have a go. Whoever you support, you could win a prize – even if it’s only a mug.

Usual rules: be first to post the correct scoreline, do so before kickoff and have a UK delivery address. Monsieur Salut’s decision shall be final.

  1. We don’t have an out and out scorer and our defence looks suspect at times but I still have to go for 2-0 to us, with Defoe and Borini scoring.

    It must happen some time

  2. Norwich will be one of the favourites for promotion this season, so a win would very heartening. 0-1 to SAFC.
