After Bristanbul, where’s Sixer when you need him?

Pete Sixsmith then (not so long ago) … he’s a lot trimmer now
We know who was at Ashton Gate for the great return from the dead.

Olivia Hutchison was there and her shortest of video clips, capturing the exhilaration of the away end after a composite known as OG scored his second, our third, has been repeated over and again at Twitter.

Lars Knutsen is back from the USA and you may have seen his comment, too.

And so was Pete Sixsmith, enjoying then enduring then enjoying a weekend in the lovely city of Bristol with Pete Horan. If you read Salut! Sunderland regularly, you’ll know from his texts what he made of the first half.

By the end, he was scratching his head – and probably Pete Horan’s too – at the « unlikeliest » of points.

And there is more to come. Sixer is not AWOL. He warned us he would be returning slowly, doubtless catching a dozen non-league and Rugby League games on his way back to Co Durham.

So frustrating as it is to have to wait for his golden words, we must be patient. It could be as late as tomorrow night but will as usual be worth the wait.

UPDATE: Pete was barely late at all. His superb piece is here https://safc.blog/2018/02/sixers-bristol-soapbox-and-its-worth-waiting-for/
