We are all excited about Wembley and 38,979 of us will be there in the designated Sunderland seats on March 31.
But let us not lose sight of this season’s key objective: promotion.
Two away games loom, Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday and Barnsley next Tuesday. Both are vital. We must do at least as well as Barnsley on Saturday and then win at Oakwell on Tuesday to regain control of the question of who goes up in an automatic place.
Wycombe gave us a scare at the Stadium of Light. Barnsley may have been better than the 4-2 scoreline suggested and it goes without saying that a slip-up by them at home to Accrington Stanley on Saturday looks extremely unlikely. So we must take responsibility for our own results in the knowledge that winning both games would take us second come what may.
Monsieur Salut once again invites a double entry in Guess the Score. Give us your prediction for each game. One correct result – if first to be posted – wins the classic mug. Get both right and, again if first, you will win a classy print from Art of Football.
If no one wins the special double prize, it reverts to a mug for each game. A double winner would receive one mug and the Art of Football print. Usual rules apply – be first, be right, have a UK delivery address and accept M Salut’s decision as final.
Ha’way the Lads in Bucks and South Yorkshire.
The eternal optimist says it’s 4-0 to the lads at Wycombe and 2-0 at Barnsley
The Lads to win 4-2 at Wycombe and 3-1 at Barnsley.
3-2 to the lads at Wycombe and 1-0 vs Barnsley.
Wycombe 0 Sunderland 2 Barnsley 1 Sunderland 1
Win 3-1 at Wycombe and a 1-1 draw at Barnsley.
No one else need bother……….. I will win AND be there at both games to witness. 4-3 to The Lads twice – no not 8-6, that would be silly!
3 – 0 at High Wycombe at 0 – 0 in S Yorkshire.
0-2 to the lads in both games.
1-2 at Wycombe and a 2-2 at Barnsley. No time to get carried away 🙂
Mmm? Its a toughie. 0-2 Saturday, Paul’s already taken 1-2 at Barnsley, so 2-3 should do it
1-0 to Sunderland at Wycombe and a 2-1 away win at Barnsley.
