The build-up to Sunderland v Arsenal hasn’t been bad.
Clemency Burton-Hill did a grand job, pushing aside all her trifling demands as author, musician, journalist, actress and broadcaster (I may have missed one or two of her activities) to answer the traditional “Who are You?” questionnaire.
Read her pearls of wisdom – including a Gooner-splitting call for M Wenger to go – at this link: https://safc.blog/2012/02/the-safc-v-arsenal-who-are-you-arsene-must-go/.
And as usual, there has been plenty more to read at Salut! Sunderland on all matters from Stoke and Boro to andouillettes and chips.
But just for fun, with the most humble of prizes as an incentive, guess the correct score of the game, Premier not FA Cup 5th Round.
The first to post what then turns out to be the right answer wins the new Salut! Sunderland mug – slogan: Martin O’Neill’s “Team of all Talents” – seen above. If an Arsenal supporter is the winner, I will adapt the design a little to take account of that.
Any entry held for moderation will be considered according to the time it was received.
Get posting up to kickoff time … M Salut’s decision is final. And he’s no mug. If no one posts, or posts the right score, he gets the mug.

3-2 to the lads, Sess, Mclean and Bardo
Two trips to the Daleside for Sixer.
As no-one has gone for it yet – 1-0 home win.
Sorry 2-1 Arsenal
Tony is the winner. Alas!
I’ll go 2-1 to us too, being really confident i’ll go for Wickham and Sess as the scorers. Though for some reason I think it may make next week harder; can go either way cup games can.
Rob: that’s not an entry! No score prediction.
Christy Moore song choice: Ride on or The Voyage
2:0 to The Lads, (Follow Me Up To Carlow by Planxty, very rousing!)
Keep ’em coming. Entries valid up to 3pm.
1-1
We have a strong Irish connection at the moment. Could anyone promote Christy Moore as the music at the games in future.
I must admit, I am kind of worried about the League encounter. The FA Cup encounter however, I expect to go 100% our way.
Maybe a draw tomorrow, and Gunners out of the cup next week.
3-3
2-1 to Sunderland.
3-1 to Arsenal
