Last season, they poured rain on our parade, coming along after that magnificent survival-securing run of ours to collect three points with the minimum of fuss on the final day.
This season they have started, shall we say, better than us in the Premier and also walloped Everton in the league cup as we were bowing to mighty Stoke.
Not quite this time last year, but close to it, Swansea away was my first game of the season having arrived home from France for the annual hibernation just a day or two earlier. It was Poyet’s debut as head coach. At half time, I spotted two fellow members of the SAFCSA London branch in the away end and went over for a chat. “That wasn’t too bad,” said one of them, Richie Cockton. He was right.
And soon after half time, Phil Bardsley had a priceless chance to score which he fluffed. he did score later but one of the four goals at the other end.

What will happen on Saturday? The form book says we’ll struggle. I expect Ki to be top form. I also expect our Swans “Who are You?” interviewee, Max Hicks, to predict an away win when his responses -promised tonight – drop in my e-mail box.
Or will Poyet somehow find the winning formula that has deserted him so far this season?

Bill Cowell OBE won the rollover, disloyally but accurately informing us we’d lose 2-1 at home to Stoke. That means two mugs to add to the one he won for also knowing we’d get a “fluky” 2-2 draw at home to Spurs.

We might have a better chance if Swansea Town send their side Rob. Unfortunately it’s their more prosperous neighbours, City we have to face.
I think we are, as a team struggling at the moment. I do not see it in there, so I suggest Sunderland 2 – 3 Swansea Town. I feel they have a better side than we do.
Connor Wickham and that contract. He is doing nothing so far this season to worthy a contract.
Only one consolation at the moment is we are not as bad as Newcastle, and that is very small consolation.

Swansea will score. Probably twice. So we will need to score 3. “Simples” as that irritating Russian rat says 10 times a night on ITV. Incidentally, an accent that surrounds me here in the Russian republic of Ayia Napa. So 3-2 it is.
