Seven games to go and after that resounding win at Derby on a very Good Friday, Sheffield Wednesday are the Easter Monday visitors to the Stadium of Light.
For once, it looks as if we may have to do without a Who are You? interview. Monsieur Salut did find a willing candidate. There’s a good reason why she may have overlooked it, or simply not found the time she expected to have: her dad, a lifelong Owls fan, died recently.
But Guess the Score goes on. I have promised to keep it it running on a prize basis for the rest of the season, so there’s a mug waiting for for the first person to predict the correct score. Usual rules: all – Owls included – are welcome to enter and the design of the mug will reflect winner’s team of preference.
Good Friday and Iām believing in the resurrection when Sunderland are winning 4-1 at Derby County

I began writing this at half time in Derby County vs SAFC and we were 2-1 up. I did not dare not hope for that scoreline to prevail, let alone become 4-1 …. Bravo Lads; now repeat it on Monday. No one, incidentally, guessed 1-4 at Pride Park despite 33 responses (albeit many of them about quizmaster’s catchphrases).
Have a go, then. Tell us what will happen at the Stadium of Light when Owls come up against Black Cats. And Ha’way the feline part of that pairing.
Maybe I only dreamt someone went for 1-3. Thanks heavens Geoff was close-ish but not close enough as I’m sure he lives in NZ (the postage would cost as much as several mugs)
Correct š
Not much left to pick from so its a slightly ridiculous
Sunderland 5 – 2 Sheffield Wednesday.
Only our defence let me down, failing to concede the three goals I needed. This time no slip ups as The lads win 4-3
4-1 again, home win.
6 – 0.
The Lads to win 3-2,will then have real hope.
3-0 to the Lads. A great escape?
4-2 to the lads. Fletcher hat trick.
Don’t forget – Sheffield Wednesday won 4-1 as well last time out. I’m going for a 0-2 home defeat.
Just when you have accepted another relegation, a slight trace of light – it is becoming an annual event.
3-1 home win, and hopes begin to rise.
2-0.
I was nearly right last time. This time the scorers are Asoro and Fletcher, 40 & 50 minutes.
It would have been 3-0 but for the 87th minute penalty miss
2 -1 home win.
Scrappy 1-0 home win = 2 in a row 6 POINTS gasps in astonishment
