Pete Sixsmith has suffered all season. Tonight he saw a miracle accomplished. Superb finishes by Jack Colback and Fabio Borino completed the salvation of Sunderland. Gus Poyet deserves a Pulis Times Two bonus for what he has somehow achieved … bravo Lads, you’re 14th tonight …

Was looking at the clock from 60 mins onwards saying to myself even we can’t let in 3 goals from here, it was only on 85 mins that I started to relax . Incredible comeback , not only to be bottom at Christmas but to be adrift by seven points with just over a month to go and Citeh, United and Chelsea away included in the fixtures . Miracles do happen, every team in a similar position from now on will be asked if they can ‘ do a Sunderland ‘, this will become an accepted turn of phrase. Lets build on this momentum and make sure they’re never asking us that question ever again !
O me of little faith. I was convinced we were gone.Remarkable and brilliant although I didn’t relax until about 5 minutes from the end. Miracle indeed!
A classic performance of the game that England gave to the world. Or something like that…….
Well organised, belief, confidence and a squad of players that knew if you can get to Wembley you can’t possible be relegated, Gus Poyet you made mistakes, but you learned from them. That is the reason we had a miraculous escape, and it was a miracle
It seemed unlikely, no, it looked impossible, those away results that nobody (and I mean NOBODY) predicted, and now we can don our comfy slippers and light our celebratory pipes as we welcome the Swans for a match THAT DOESN’T MATTER! What drugs am I on? This cannot be reality!
4 weeks ago, I was down. I thought we were down. Every time I thought Sunderland, I felt sick.
Now, that thought makes me feel proud.
I predicted the Man City result!
Bloody Altidore lost me a mug as well.
Tough old second half. But brilliant first half.
Now we know, Gus Poyet is 100% a proved “MIracle Worker”.
In Gus we trust.
