What you think about Sunderland vs Southend (updated)

Jake: ‘time for a Will Grigg hat trick?’

Well, I asked
and you’ve started to answer, says Monsieur Salut.

Because our Comments section is still inaccessible after recent technical nightmares, I suggested posting your scoreline predictions at Salut! Sunderland’s Facebook group but also invited comments on the bigger Sunderland picture.

Since your comments can still be seen behind the scenes if you attempt to post them in the normal way, they can be copied and pasted to a new article such as this.

Phil Davison, a Mackem exile in Mexico, set the ball rolling, starting with his SAFC-Southend prediction. Other comments will be added as they arrive and/or appear at the Facebook group.

PHILD: 2-0 to the Lads. My thoughts from afar, having only seen match highlights (and lowlights) by internet.

Parky needs to be given a chance. We are creating many more opportunities and we have one of the best squads in the third division.

My team in Mexico is Pumas, where we have season tickets. Last night, Pumas played Atlas, for whom Ricardo Álvarez now plays. He has been injured for most of the past year and has only played in three of the last sixteen matches. In league matches, he has played for 47 minutes, out of a possible 1,440 minutes

Bill Haddock, via Facebook: 2-0 win to the Lads.

Mel Bond: the eternal optimist says things are on the turn the chances have been coming quick and fast but not had the luck running with us 3 penalty decisions turned down and is it 2 dissallowed 7 times foiled by the woodwork and I believe in excess of 30 shots it is going to come so get ready for the ride. 4-0 to the Lads.

David Miller: 4-1 to the lads. If Grigg doesn’t start scoring I think fans’ patience will finish. Will he dare take a penalty?

NB: NB: our technical problems have not been completely fixed. Readers cannot post comments. We are working on this.

In the meantime, you can always have your say on anything that appears here, or for that matter any SAFC topics which do not, at Salut! Sunderland’s Facebook group. Click on any of the preceding four words. If you are told that you need to join the group, you can do so easily. Approval is very quick.
